UlazAI Seedance 2 asset guide

How to use asset:// IDs for real-person footage

Use public URLs for normal references. For real-person footage, or whenever raw files are unstable, prepare the media as a Seedance asset first and paste the returned asset:// ID into UlazAI instead of the raw file.

When to use it

Real-person footage or unstable raw uploads

If your input contains a real person, or the raw file path keeps erroring, switch to an asset:// ID flow first.

What you get back

A reusable asset ID

After the media is prepared, you will receive an identifier such as asset://your-seedance-media-id. That is what UlazAI accepts in the Seedance 2 fields.

Where to paste it

Any Seedance 2 manual reference field

You can paste the ID into first-frame, last-frame, reference image, reference video, or reference audio fields in the UlazAI composer.

Recommended workflow

Step 1

Prepare the media as an asset

Register the real-person clip, image, or audio as a Seedance asset in your workflow before you start the generation job.

Step 2

Copy the returned asset:// ID

Do not paste the raw file path after that step. Use the returned asset ID as the source reference that the model should read.

Step 3

Paste the ID into UlazAI composer

Open Seedance 2 or Seedance 2 Fast, choose the right mode, and paste the ID into the matching manual input field before submitting the render.

Which UlazAI fields accept asset IDs?

Frame-lock modes

Use asset:// IDs in First frame and Last frame when your frame source should not be passed as a raw file.

Multimodal references

Reference image, reference video, and reference audio fields all accept public URLs and asset:// IDs.

API payloads

The same IDs can be sent in first_frame_url, last_frame_url, reference_image_urls, reference_video_urls, and reference_audio_urls.

Quick rule

If it is normal reference media and a public URL works, use the URL. If it is real-person footage or the raw upload is flaky, switch to an asset:// ID.

Use a public URL when:

  • Product shots, scenery, or non-sensitive references are already hosted.
  • You only need a fast creative iteration path.
  • The source file is already stable and publicly reachable.

Switch to asset IDs when:

  • The footage contains a real person.
  • You keep hitting raw-file validation or ingestion errors.
  • You need a more stable reusable reference inside repeated jobs.

Next step

Open Seedance 2 with the right reference format

Use public URLs for standard creative work. Use asset:// IDs when your Seedance 2 job needs a safer path for real-person footage.
