UlazAI - Instrumente AI pentru imagine și video

Announced 28 September 2026

Kling 4.0 is announced. Almost nobody can use it yet.

Kling posted a film of 2 minutes 37 seconds made with Kling 4.0. Thirty-eight minutes later came a trailer full of 4K shots, with the news that the model itself comes in October. What opened today is Kling 4.0 Flash, a lighter version, and only for people on the Ultra yearly plan.

What Kling announced

Kling posted the announcement on X at 15:38 UTC on 28 September 2026. It opens with two lines that matter more than the feature list: "Kling 4.0 is coming this October. Kling 4.0 Flash is live now for Ultra Yearly subscribers." Then four promises:

  • "Stable dynamic motion, high-quality stereo audio, more accurate lip sync, up to 4K resolution, and 10-bit HDR output."
  • "Up to 15 multi-modal references, more consistent results, and enhanced video editing."
  • "Multi-keyframe control supporting up to 10 keyframes, native 30-second generation."
  • "Video extension, support for multiple languages, accents, and dialects."

Source: Kling AI on X. None of this has been tested independently yet, because the full model is not out. One small check we could do: the 4K versions of both Kling videos on X are 8-bit files. That says more about X than about the model, but it means you cannot see the 10-bit HDR claim in anything published so far.

THE BEAT, the film Kling made with 4.0

Kling's showcase is a short film about a drummer who loses her kit and comes back on stage. It runs 2 minutes and 37 seconds and Kling calls it "created with Kling 4.0". It does not say whether that is Flash or the full model.

We ran a cut detection over the film (ffmpeg, scene threshold 0.30). It has 92 shots with a median length of 1.1 seconds. One stretch is different: a 30.1 second phone argument in a loft with no hard cut, only camera angle changes. That is the one scene where a character talks for a while, and it is the part one reply on X called out for drifting and lip sync. The rest is quick montage, which hides that kind of problem.

Kling 4.0 next to what you can use now

The 4.0 column is Kling's announcement. The other three columns are the models as they run in UlazAI Video Studio today.

What early testers posted on 28 September

From about an hour before the announcement, creators with early access posted their first Flash clips. Kling opened Flash to a selected group of creators first, and three of the eleven posts we counted mention Kling's creative partner program (#KlingCPP, or CPP in the text). So they are not fully independent reviewers. Still, these are the only Kling 4.0 clips that did not come from Kling itself.

The same audio drift test, Kling 3.0 against 4.0 Flash

Two characters, one continuous dialogue shot

Five 5-second clips at 720p, asked straight out against Seedance 2.5

A 20 second first try, prompt in the replies

Two takes of a dark fantasy scene, one upscaled with Topaz

A tester's spec list: Flash up to 20 seconds, full 4.0 up to 30

Flash clips stop at 20 seconds, mostly

Kling promises "native 30-second generation" for Kling 4.0. A Japanese tester wrote that Flash goes up to 20 seconds (in the post above: "4.0 Flash は最大20秒"). Kling itself has not said that. So we looked at the files.

We read the length of every video attached to 11 posts from 10 early testers that name Kling 4.0 Flash, 12 uploads in total. Five end at 20.0 to 20.1 seconds. That is too neat to be a coincidence, and it fits the 20 second limit the tester reported.

Two uploads run longer. One is a montage of five 5-second clips, so it says nothing about a single generation. The other is a 25.8 second dark fantasy scene. Either its maker edited takes together, or Flash can go past 20 seconds in some settings. We don't know which. Eight of the twelve uploads are about 1280 by 720, so most testers posted 720p.

Showcase clips from Kling that a tester reposted (@alisaqqt) are not counted. This is a count of what people posted, not a spec. X can re-encode and creators can trim. When Kling publishes the Flash limits, those numbers win.

What early access costs at Kling

On 28 September at 20:10 Dutch time, Kling's membership page listed Kling 4.0 Flash only under Ultra, labelled "Annual Early Access". The yearly prices:

PlanPer yearCredits per month4.0 Flash
Standard$79.20660No
Pro$293.043,000No
Premier$728.648,000No
Ultra$1,429.9926,000Yes

The credit cost of one Flash clip is not visible without an Ultra login. And on the developer side, Kling's API pricing page says it plainly: "These plans currently don't support Kling 4.0." Kling 3.0 is on that API, including 4K, so 4K on its own is not what 4.0 adds.

What you can make today

Kling 4.0 is not in UlazAI, because Kling does not offer it on its API yet. These three are in Video Studio now, priced per second in credits, without a yearly plan:

Kling O3

Kling 3.0 Omni with four modes: text, image, reference and transformation. Up to 3 named subjects and 6 written shots, 720p to 4K. From 84 credits for 5 seconds at 720p. Kling O3 details

Kling 3.0

Text-to-video and image-to-video with start and end frame and native audio, 3 to 15 seconds. From 20 credits per second in Standard mode. Kling 3.0 details

Seedance 2.5

The model most testers compared Kling 4.0 Flash against. 4 to 30 seconds, 480p or 720p, up to 50 references. From 28 credits per second at 480p. Seedance 2.5 details
