Viral DNA video analysis

Viral DNA

You watched it three times. Now find out why.

Upload a short video. We watch the whole thing, audio included, and hand back the parts you can actually copy: the hook in the first three seconds, where attention slips, the cut rhythm, the emotional turn, and the payoff that pays off the opening.

Your first analysis is free. After that 40 credits for a video up to 90 seconds.

Three vertical video stills glowing in a dark room: hands at work, a wet neon street at night, and a splash of liquid. 00:00 hook 8/10

Copying the surface never works

You save a video that blew up, you rebuild it shot for shot, and yours dies at 400 views. The zoom was never the reason. The reason sits in the order of information: what the maker showed first, what they held back, and the exact second they answered the question they opened with.

That order is invisible while you watch, because it is doing its job. Viral DNA writes it out.

The opening

Three seconds decide the rest

A hook is not volume. It is the small unanswered thing planted before a viewer decides. Here the result arrives before the work: a cracked bowl, already in hand, with no explanation yet.

  • on screen

Hands holding a cracked ceramic bowl under a single warm light.

  • technique

Result first. The damage is shown before anyone explains it.

  • promise

You are about to see this fixed.

  • thumb stops

Something valuable is broken and nobody has said why yet.

The middle

Attention leaks somewhere. You get the timestamp

Every report carries a retention timeline: what happens at each moment and the reason a viewer stays for it. Most short videos lose people in the same place, right after the opening promise and before the work becomes interesting.

The curve here comes from one example analysis, not an average of your niche. Your own report gets your own timestamps.

The payoff

Did the ending pay back the opening?

A hook writes a cheque. The payoff either cashes it or it does not, and the report says which, with the timestamp. Here the promise from second one lands at 00:38: the same bowl, repaired in gold, held into the light.

  • lands at

00:38, five seconds before the end.

  • answers hook

Yes. The broken object from 00:00 comes back whole.

  • ending

Loops cleanly back to the first frame.

The rest of the report

Rhythm, choices, emotion, and what not to steal

Cut rhythm

Cuts per ten seconds, how the tempo shifts, whether picture and sound land together, and how text on screen is paced.

The choices behind it

Per moment: the choice the maker made, the effect it had, and the alternative that would have been worse. This is the part you learn from.

Emotional arc

Where the feeling turns, which triggers do the work, and why people leave the comments they leave.

A recipe you can shoot

The structure written as steps, plus the parts that only work because of that specific creator, face or voice. Copy structure, not people.

Six scores out of ten

Hook, retention, rhythm, emotion, payoff and shareability, with a short note on what the analysis is unsure about.

Niche benchmark

Once five analyses share a niche, your scores appear against that average. Below five you get a counter, because an average of three videos tells you nothing.

Tarifs

What it costs

Video lengthCrédits
Your first analysis, up to 90 secondsGratuit
Up to 90 seconds40
90 seconds to 3 minutes60
Above 3 minutes60 + 15 / min

Longer videos cost more because the whole thing gets watched, not a handful of sampled frames. 10 minutes is the ceiling, 200 MB the file limit.

Where it stops

It will not promise you views

Reach depends on timing, the account, the audience and a recommendation system nobody outside the platform can see. Any tool that hands you a virality percentage made that number up.

What it does do is read a video that already worked and name the mechanics, so you stop guessing which part carried it. Use it on other people's work to learn, and on your own to find the second where people leave.

Questions people ask first

Does my video stay on your servers?

No. The file is deleted the moment the analysis finishes, and also when it fails. Your account keeps the text report, nothing else.

My video is in Dutch, Spanish, Turkish

Fine. Spoken language does not matter, and the report arrives in whichever language you are browsing the site in.

Why upload instead of pasting a link?

Links rot, get geo-blocked and break behind login walls. A file always works, and it keeps us out of scraping other platforms.

How long does an analysis take?

A minute or two for a short clip. You get a page you can leave open, and the report lands in your account either way.
