UlazAI - AI Image & Video Tools
Ideogram 4.5Edit one thing. Keep the rest.
Ideogram released 4.5 on 30 September 2026. It is built for one problem: a photo that slowly falls apart after five or ten AI edits. Here is what it does, what it costs, and where it stands on UlazAI.
On UlazAI Not yet. When it arrives, you'll see it here first. Until then, the tips on this page work with every edit model in the Studio.
Why edits pile up
Ask most image models to change the background, then the dress, then the light, and each round redraws the whole picture. Each redraw loses a little. After one edit you don't see it. After ten, skin turns orange, contrast climbs and the background grows a texture nobody asked for.
Ideogram ran the same 14 edits on one portrait in four models. On the right is GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst at High quality. On the left is Ideogram 4.5 at Medium.
It is Ideogram's own test, with a portrait Ideogram picked. Treat it as a demo until people run the same edits on their own photos.
Precise Edit copies back what didn't change
Ideogram 4.5 has a separate mode called Precise Edit. The model works out which pixels your instruction really changes. Everything else comes back straight from your original, so colour shifts and grain can't stack up. The output always keeps the size of the image you put in.
There is a limit. Ask for "make it evening" or "warmer light" and nearly every pixel changes. Then there is little to copy back, and the model redraws most of the picture again.
Text that stays in place
Ideogram has always been good at lettering. With 4.5 you can swap a word on a sign or translate a banner, and the font, position and photo stay as they were.
What Ideogram 4.5 costs
These are Ideogram's own API prices per image, read on 1 October 2026. 1K and 2K cost the same. The cheapest setting only exists for edits.

What you can use on UlazAI today

| Nano Banana Pro | 20 | Edits with several reference images |
| Ideogram Character | 18 | The same character across new images (no edits) |
Four habits that stop drift in any model
- Keep your original file apart, and don't edit an edit of an edit unless you have to.
- After three edits, put the newest version next to the original at 100% and check skin, eyes and background.
- If you see drift, go back to the original and ask for all changes in one prompt.
- Use a selection or a marked area when the tool has one, so the model only touches that part.
Open weights, no date yet
Ideogram says the 4.5 weights are coming "soon", without a date, licence or model size. Once they land, anyone can rerun the 14 edits on their own photos. That is when we will know whether the promise holds outside the demo.
