Vidu Q4 turns one photo, or up to 15 reference images, into a clip of 3 to 16 seconds with sound. It runs in the UlazAI Video Studio from 21 October. A 5-second clip at 720p costs 92 credits, and that does not change when you switch the sound off. We made the clips on this page ourselves the same day.

Why switch the sound off?
We sent the same portrait twice: once with a line of dialogue and sound on, once silent. Our supplier billed both runs the same, to the decimal. So on UlazAI both cost 92 credits for 5 seconds at 720p. The voice came out clear: a transcript of the clip reads exactly 'Storm's coming.' Keep the sound on unless you plan to lay your own audio on top.

Reference-to-video takes 1 to 15 images. Name them in the prompt by number. We gave it a black mug as image 1 and a living room as image 2 and asked for the mug on the coffee table with a slow push-in. The mug and the room both came through. Same living room as the first frame, longer and sharper. The curtains move, the patch of sun shifts and a cat walks in from the right and jumps onto the sofa, in that order. 8 seconds at 1080p costs 185 credits and took 3.5 minutes.

Expect a few minutes, sometimes more
Our two 720p image-to-video runs took about 2 minutes each, the 1080p clip 3.5 minutes and the reference clip almost 8. That is one day of testing, not a promise. Start a long batch and do something else.

How much does Vidu Q4 cost on UlazAI?
It is priced per second. A 3-second clip at 540p costs 26 credits, 5 seconds at 720p 92, 8 seconds at 1080p 185 and 16 seconds at 4K 1199. Sound does not change the price.
Can I choose the aspect ratio?
With reference-to-video, yes: 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3 or 3:4. With image-to-video the clip keeps the shape of your photo, so crop the photo first.
Can I add my own voice or sound?
In reference-to-video you can add up to 3 MP3 clips of 3 to 12 seconds each, and refer to them in the prompt, like 'using reference audio 1'. Other formats are refused before you pay.
How long can a Vidu Q4 clip be?
From 3 to 16 seconds, in whole seconds. Longer clips cost more per clip, not more per second.
